From March 28 to 31, the 2026 Seed Congress and the Nanfan Silicon Valley Forum were successfully held in Sanya, Hainan. This event marks the inaugural major gathering in the seed industry since the Seed Industry Revitalization Initiative entered a new phase—aiming for “major breakthroughs within ten years”—and following the commencement of closed-border operations under the Hainan Free Trade Port. With the theme “Revitalizing China’s Seed Industry: The Rise of Nanfan Silicon Valley,” the conference systematically reviewed five years of achievements, thoroughly mapped out the development roadmap for the next decade, and pooled collective wisdom and strength to advance the revitalization of the seed industry.

Successful Launch of Shandong's Pilot Project for Integrated Development in Agricultural Machinery: The Dual-Channel Corn Harvester

On February 3, the kickoff meeting for Shandong Province’s pilot project on the integrated R&D, manufacturing, and application of agricultural machinery—the “Dual-Channel Corn Sub-Plot Harvester”—was successfully held in the conference room of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Qingdao Agricultural University. Qingdao Planteck Machinery Technology Co., Ltd., as the core implementing entity of the project, was represented at the meeting by General Manager Li Guoying.

The 2025 Annual Summary Meeting for the Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program (Agricultural Superior Varieties Project)—“Research and Development and Application of Intelligent Crop Breeding Equipment”—was held successfully.

To comprehensively summarize the 2025 implementation results of the Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program (Agricultural Superior Varieties Project) project “Research and Development and Application of Intelligent Crop Breeding Equipment” (Project No.: 2024LZGC004), and to pool multidisciplinary expertise in order to promote the project’s high-quality advancement, the annual summary meeting for this project was successfully held on December 13 in Conference Room 216 of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Qingdao Agricultural University. Leaders, experts, and core research personnel from the project’s guiding expert panel and from the various sub-project implementing units gathered to discuss the project’s progress.

Warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of the inaugural International Corn Biology Forum, where Plantae Technologies, together with its maize plot-breeding equipment, is addressing the critical challenges of sustainable development and food security.

From October 16 to 20, the inaugural International Forum on Maize Biology was successfully held at Huazhong Agricultural University. Hosted by Huazhong Agricultural University and organized by the College of Life Science and Technology, the College of Plant Science and Technology, the National Key Laboratory for Crop Genetic Improvement, and the Hubei Hongshan Laboratory, the forum aimed to accelerate breakthroughs in maize research by fostering interdisciplinary exchange and cross-regional collaboration, addressing critical challenges such as climate adaptation, yield enhancement, and nutritional optimization, and jointly tackling major issues in sustainable agriculture and food security to provide solutions for global food security. Qingdao Planteck Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the conference.

In 2025, the province-wide training program for enhancing the capabilities of grassroots seed technology personnel was successfully held at Qingdao Planteck, achieving deep integration of theory and practice to jointly promote innovation and development in the modern seed industry.

From September 8 to 12, 2025, the “2025 Provincial Training Program for Enhancing the Capabilities of Grassroots Seed Technology Personnel,” hosted by the Shandong Provincial Seed Management Station and organized by Qingdao Agricultural University, was successfully held. On the afternoon of September 11, leaders and experts participating in the training visited our company for an inspection and study tour. This visit, as an important component of the program’s hands-on learning, aimed to provide participants from across the province with an in-depth understanding of China’s leading capabilities in the research, development, and manufacturing of breeding machinery, and to demonstrate the powerful driving force that intelligent equipment exerts on the development of the modern seed industry.
